THE EMBER BAR

The Ember Bar

Twelve stools along the oven side of the room, open from 4 pm to midnight, until 1 am on Friday and Saturday. The bar has its own short menu, and the full dinner menu is served at the stools for as long as the kitchen is firing.

The stools work on one rule: all twelve are held for walk-ins, all night, every night, first come. On Friday and Saturday a line usually forms by 3:30; most other nights you can walk in until about six, when the dining room seats and the stools fill. If there is a wait, leave your number at the door — there are three breweries within two blocks, and we will text you when your seats are up. Nothing at the bar can be reserved, which means nobody with a better calendar than you has taken it.

A 4% kitchen equity charge is added to every check. It is not a gratuity. It goes to the cooks, the prep team and the dishwashers.

Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish or eggs may increase your risk of foodborne illness.
