What getting into, around and through a dinner here is actually like, in real figures, plus what this website promises and where it still falls short. Written as a commitment, not a disclaimer.
The room
The physical room
The whole restaurant is one level. The entrance on Larimer is step-free and level with the sidewalk, every doorway on the floor is 36 inches or wider, and there are no steps, ramps or raised platforms anywhere a guest goes. Aisles between the long tables are kept wide enough for a wheelchair to pass a seated guest.
Tables are 30 inches high with open, unobstructed ends held for wheelchair seating; tell us when you book and the end seat is yours, not negotiated on arrival. The Coalhouse and the seasonal patio are on the same level and equally step-free.
There is a wheelchair-accessible all-gender restroom with grab bars and a full 60-inch turning circle, on the same floor as the dining room, plus a second all-gender restroom beside it.
The Ember Bar
The bar stools
Honesty over ambience here: the Ember Bar's twelve stools have a 30-inch seat height at a 42-inch counter, with backs but no arms, and they are not an easy transfer. If the stools do not work for you, say so at the door and we will seat you at a standard-height table with the full bar menu, walk-in, on the same first-come terms as the stools.
Light and sound
Light and sound, measured
The room is dim on purpose: about 30 lux at the table during service, roughly candlelight-plus. Menus are printed in high contrast at 14 point, and we keep clip-on reading lights at the host stand; ask for one, no explanation needed.
Because everyone arrives at once, the first twenty minutes after doors are the quietest the night gets; sound peaks around 74 dB mid-service, which means conversation is possible but not effortless. If noise or crowds are a problem, come at 5:45 when doors open, or ask Sam about the quieter north end of the room when you book.
Allergies
Telling the kitchen about an allergy
We run one wood oven and shared boards. We cannot guarantee any dish is free of any allergen. Tell us when you book and we will tell you honestly what we can and cannot do.
Write to kitchen@marrow.restaurant, or call (720) 555-0118 between 2 and 5 pm, Tuesday to Saturday. The kitchen reads that inbox the same afternoon on service days.
Service animals
Service animals
Welcome everywhere in the building, every night, no notice needed. Pet dogs are welcome on the seasonal patio.
This website
The digital part
This site is built to WCAG 2.2 AA: every menu is real text rather than a PDF or an image, every page works without JavaScript and by keyboard alone, motion is switched off when your system asks for reduced motion, and both color themes hold real contrast. We test with a screen reader before anything ships.
Two known imperfections, named rather than hidden. Booking hands off to Resy, whose pages we do not control; the phone and book@marrow.restaurant are always an equal path to the same table. And automated checks catch only about half of what matters, so something here is imperfect that we have not found yet.
When you find it, tell Sam Oyelaran at hello@marrow.restaurant or (720) 555-0118, and say which page and what went wrong. A person reads it, it gets fixed, and fixes usually ship within the week.
